Racing Rules - Abs Bangers

NO HANDS IN TRACK. EVER!!!
Once a race has started no cars are to be touched for any reason until the end of the race, the only exception to this is if a car is a “runaway” ie driving under its own power, which causes the cars to go up in smoke, if this happens an experienced racer will grab the car, this car cant be returned to the track.
Cars may be put back into the track if they leave the Oval, the only exception being DD at the end of the night
Oppo (driving round the track in the wrong direction) is only allowed on the corners, NOT THE STRAIGHTS! This doesn’t include turning around on a straight, it is a deliberate attempt to drive the wrong way up a straight!
After the buzzer signals the end of the race there is ten seconds before the 2nd buzzer, DO NOT PICK YOUR CAR UP UNTIL AFTER THE SECOND BUZZER, DO NOT CRASH AFTER THE SECOND BUZZER.
Usually the heats are 4 minute races and the final 5 minutes, by discretion race control may change this.
Races are usually run in a clockwise direction. occasonally we may run a figure of 8, or anticlockwise race for a change.
Scrutineering may be called on winners, or at random, before or after a race, if you are called head straight to the scrutineering table where the team will check your car. Common checks include, but are not limited too, ride height, shell mounting and repairs, added ballast, motors, sharp chassis edges,
If we believe a deliberate attempt to cheat has occurred you will be loaded up for the night, if we believe an infringement wasn’t deliberate advice will be offered on how too rectify.
This is a full contact formula, if you don’t like that then I suggest one of our other formulas may be more suited to you. There will be people out there deliberately trying to damage your car, as you are free to do to them. Keep battles on the track and friendly in the pits.
Remember above all else. YOU ARE RACING TOY CARS – its not worth getting upset over

Did I mention? NO HANDS IN TRACK. EVER!!!
