How are Points Calculated?
For each heat, the points are:
1st - 20 Points
2nd - 17 Points
3rd - 14 Points
4th - 12 Points
5th - 10 Points
6th - 8 Points
7th - 6 Points
8th - 4 Points
9th - 2 Points
10th+ - 1 Point
ABS DD = 10 Points
For finals, the points are doubled. This means that an A final win is worth 40 points.
The last race of the season is normally a double point race. All of these rules apply but the scores are double. This means that a heat win is worth 40 points, a final win is worth 80 points. On Double points night. There are no points awarded for the DD
Finals:
In ABS Bangers only A finalists score points. No Points are awarded for B final. All A finalists will score at least 2 points.
An ABS DD win scores 10 points. Only a single winner can score so if two cars remain at the end of the time limit no points are awarded.
F2 finals: only the top 10 score points. As we normally run 8 car finals, this means that 2nd and 3rd in the B final can score 4p/2p as the finals are double points.
